This is my starting and ending point, and where everywhere else has to compete with.

My name is Victoria Doran and in January 2020 I started on a journey of 18 months around the world, to places I have always wanted to visit, but never thought it was possible. Having been retired since 2010, I realised it was now or never, and that is is very possible to travel without much money nowadays.

Due to Covid I never got further than Morocco and finally returned to England at the end of June 2021.

On 5 September 2022 I have resumed travelling, though it will now only be in 3 to 4 month bursts, probably to one a single country each time.

On 12 October 2023 I am going to Newfoundland for a month or so, so a I will make a few more posts.

This website is the only written record of my travels, so it is likely to be very detailed when I am somewhere that interests me.
